The Group has always encouraged staff to participate in charitable and volunteering activities. In 2003, the "Shun Hing Volunteering Team" was established to encourage staff to help people from different backgrounds and segments of society to go on a life-enhancing trip and a search for a greater meaning in life. At present there are around 200 members in the team and various activities are organised each year.

Charitable work includes Sedan Chair Race, Marathons for Charity, Homeless World Cup, home visits to senior citizens, distributing free fans to low income families during the hot summertime, making rice dumplings during the Dragon Boat festival, and organising organic farm visits for children from low-income families.
