The Panasonic Cup Race Day came to a successful end on 13 November 2011 at the Sha Tin Racecourse. Vice Chairman of Shun Hing Group Mr & Mrs David Mong, Director of Shun Hing Electronic Trading Co., Ltd. Ms Cynthia Mong and Vice Chairman of Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund Ms Cheung Man-yee played hosts to the guests at the Jockey Club Box.

It was the 28th consecutive year for Shun Hing Group to sponsor the Panasonic Cup Race Day. The Panasonic Cup was Race 8 of the day with a distance of 1,400 metres and the stake money amounting to HK$1,400,000. The Cup was won by “Captain Sweet” under the crop of Mr Darren Beadman after a very close and exciting run. After the race, Mr Naoya Nishihara, Senior Executive Officer, Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd., Ms Cynthia Mong and Mr David Mong presented the trophies to the winning jockey, trainer and horse owner.

Shun Hing Group also invited Mr Tomohiro Deguchi, the Japanese Rice Sommelier and the founder of Wakka International Co., Ltd., to give a cooking demonstration using premium Japanese White Rice to illustrate the outstanding functions of the Panasonic IH Warm Jar. The audience was impressed by the superb taste of rice.

During this year’s event, product display booths and sales counters were set up at the Members’ Enclosure and Public Betting Hall to let the audiences enjoy a privileged shopping experience. There were exclusive offers on audio visual, home appliances, health and beauty care products, including plasma and LCD iDTV, massage lounger, digital camera, pressure cooker, alkaline ionizer and air purifier.
