Shun Hing sponsors Hong Kong Arts Festival for the 24th consecutive year

Shun Hing Group shows its continuous support to the local arts scene by sponsoring the Hong Kong Arts Festival for 24 consecutive years. The sponsored programme this year was Lucerne Festival Strings, which was presented at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall tonight.

 

David Mong, Vice Chairman of Shun Hing Group and Cynthia Mong, Director of Shun Hing Electronic Trading Co., Ltd. hosted an intermission reception for the art-lovers. Guests with great renowned were invited, including Dr & Mrs Chow Yei Ching, Chairman of Chevalier Group, Prof Arthur Li and Ms Jue Yao.

Established in 1956 by Wolfgang Schneiderhan and Rudolf Baumgartner, Lucerne Festival Strings is regarded as one of the world's leading chamber orchestras. The chamber orchestra thrives on quality and enthusiasm, as well as the long-standing tradition that has sharpened the distinctive profile of Lucerne Festival Strings. It regularly performs in the music centers of Europe and tours extensively throughout the world, visiting South Africa (2002), Turkey and North America (2003, 2006 and 2008) and South America (2000, 2004 and 2007). Lucerne Festival Strings appears at prominent festivals as those of Prague, Eisenstadt, Ludwigsburg and Rheingau. At home in Switzerland, the orchestra can be heard annually at the Lucerne Festival as well as its own concert series ("Konzert Reihe Luzern").
