Panasonic Cup 2020 A fun-filled day with exciting races

The 37th Panasonic Cup Race Day was successfully held on 14 November 2020 at the Sha Tin Racecourse. The Panasonic Cup was race 7 of the day and the stake money amounting to HK$3,000,000. The Matthew Chadwick-ridden Buddies won the Cup at this 1,400m race. Mr. Naohito Hoshide, Advisor of Panasonic Life Solutions (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. presented the trophies to the winning owner Wong Chin Leung's wife, trainer Tony Cruz and jockey Matthew Chadwick respectively.

The trophies for this year's Panasonic Cup were newly designed with creativity. With the outlook of our classic product Panasonic Rice Cooker, the trophies were produced with the latest 3D printing technology. At the panel of the trophy, a shiny Champagne-Gold colour diamond was embedded which made the trophy more precious. The winning owner, trainer and jockey of the Panasonic Cup race were presented a trophy and a Panasonic Humidifying nanoe® Air Purifier. Winning owners of other non-trophy races each received a trophy and a Panasonic Diamond "Kamado" Induction Heating Warm Jar.

This year the Best Turned Out Horse Presentation of Panasonic Cup was awarded to Jolly Banner. Mr. Naohito Hoshide presented the prize money and Panasonic Noise Cancelling True Wireless Earphones to the Stables Assistant responsible. And Mr. David Mong, Chairman and CEO of Shun Hing Group joined the group-photo taking to share the happiness as well.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, regrettably we were unable to host a party at the Jockey Club Box. However, with the great support from our many business partners and friends from different aspects, the Panasonic Cup Race Day was held successfully. We would like to give our sincere thanks to all of our dearest friends and partners!
