Shun Hing sponsors Hong Kong Arts Festival for the 25th consecutive year
Shun Hing Group shows its continued support to the local arts scene
by sponsoring the Hong Kong Arts Festival for 25 consecutive years.
The sponsored programme this year was 'The Amahs', which was
presented at the Hong Kong City Hall Theatre on 6-7 March
2015.
Mr David Mong, Chairman and Group CEO of Shun Hing Group said, "The performances of the three actresses are marvelous and they hark back the history on the stage. I appreciate their indomitable spirit and care for each other."
'The Amahs' is a tale of friendship and devotion by Roger Lee, co-writer of the award winning film 'A Simple Life', the Hong Kong's leading female playwright Wong Wing-Sze and stage director Roy Szeto with three of the most respected stage actresses - Alice Lau, Louisa So and Pang Hang-Ying to bring back an overlooked chapter of this city's history as it emerges from postwar poverty to economic boom in the 1970s, witnessed by the laughter and tears of the amahs.
