2017 Panasonic Cup Race Day with a Lot of Fun

The Panasonic Cup Race Day was successfully held on 11 November 2017 at the Sha Tin Racecourse. Mr & Mrs David Mong, Chairman and CEO of Shun Hing Group, Ms Cynthia Mong, Director of Shun Hing Electronic Trading Co., Ltd., Ms Cheung Man-yee, Vice Chairman of Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund hosted about 400 guests at the Jockey Club Box. All the guests were wearing something with a touch of green to match the event's theme color of this year.

It was the 34th consecutive year for Shun Hing Group in sponsoring the Panasonic Cup Race Day. The Panasonic Cup was Race 7 of the day with a distance of 1,400 meters and the stake money amounting to HK$2,500,000. The Cup was won by "Western Express" under the crop of Mr J Moreira. Mr Tetsuro Homma, President of Panasonic Corporation Appliances Company, Mr David Mong and Ms Cynthia Mong presented the trophies to the winning horse owner, the trainer and the jockey respectively. Apart from presenting a trophy and a Panasonic IT Stick Type Vacuum Cleaner to winning owner, trainer and jockey of the Panasonic Cup race, winning owners of other non-trophy races each received a trophy and a Panasonic Steam Oven.

To add more fun to the event, Shun Hing Group arranged a series of programs on the Race Day. Apart from having two models showcasing Panasonic Cordless IPL Hair Removal System, Mrs Mic, tutor of Shun Hing Cooking Centre was also invited to demonstrate how to make stewed soup using the Panasonic Pressure Cooker at Jockey Club Box. All guests commented the stewed soup was tasty and more importantly it could shorten the cooking time and retain food nutrients. Apart from product demonstration on stage, guests tried using the Panasonic digital camera GF9 selfie function and two disabled artists from the Arts with the Disabled Association of Hong Kong were invited to provide portrait sketch service.

During this year's event, Panasonic Automatic Dishwasher and Mini Garment Steamer were displayed at the Member's Enclosure to let the audiences enjoy the very first touch of washing & laundry products. The event was highlighted by an exclusive offer and privilege for the Hong Kong Jockey Club members on buying audio visual, home appliances, health and beauty care products at very special prices.
