Celebrating Seventy with Love – “Shun Hing Group 70th Anniversary Cooking Competition”

“Shun Hing Group 70th Anniversary Cooking Competition” Final was successfully held on 30 July 2023 at the L1 Atrium of D·PARK in Tsuen Wan. The theme "Celebrating Seventy with Love" of the Competition hoped to inspire the public to discover the joy of cooking and treasure moments of love. The Cooking Competition was started in April with the Online Preliminary Round and participants were required to submit videos of themselves cooking dishes to showcase their talents. Ten finalists were selected by the professional judging panel .Each finalist was awarded kitchen appliances distributed by Shun Hing Group which valued up to HK$11,000.

The professional judging panel for the competition final were formed by five renowned chefs: Mr. Paul Wong, Mr. Jacky Yu, Mr. Ricky Cheung, Ms. Hilda Leung and Chef and Holistic Nutrition Consultant Ms. Tammie Tsang. Bong Bong won the championship with his dish 《青荷披鮮紅》and received HK$70,000 worth of Shun Hing Group Gift Vouchers, a trophy and a certificate as prizes. Fiona Kwok and Eddie were the first runner-up and the second runner-up, awarded with HK$38,000 and HK$18,000 worth of Shun Hing Group Gift Vouchers respectively.

Moreover, to educate the public on repurposing food waste and raising awareness of a "Zero Waste" cooking culture, GREEN Hospitality was invited as the green partner of the competition. Nutrition Consultant Ms. Tammie Tsang shared couples of exclusive cooking tips on “Zero Waste” to the audience in the cooking demonstration session and showed a creative way to turn food remains into a delicious meal.

Apart from promoting “Zero Waste” cooking culture, the Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund donated an additional HK$100 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities® Hong Kong for every successful application to support the development of a family-centered care service model, and to help lessen the burden for families with ill children.
