Celebrities get together on 2015 Panasonic Cup Race Day

The Panasonic Cup Race Day was successfully held on 14 November 2015 at the Sha Tin Racecourse. Mr & Mrs David Mong, Chairman and CEO of Shun Hing Group, Ms Cynthia Mong, Director of Shun Hing Electronic Trading Co., Ltd., Ms Cheung Man-yee, Vice Chairman of Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund hosted about 400 guests at the Jockey Club Box.

It was the 32nd consecutive year for Shun Hing Group in sponsoring the Panasonic Cup Race Day. The Panasonic Cup was Race 8 of the day with a distance of 1,400 meters and the stake money amounting to HK$2,400,000. The Cup was won by "Dashing Fellow" under the crop of Mr Y T Cheng. Mr Hidetoshi Osawa, Regional Head for China & Northeast Asia of Panasonic Corporation of China, Mr David Mong and Ms Cynthia Mong presented the trophies to the winning horse owner, the trainer and the jockey respectively.

Shun Hing Group invited Mr Kei-lam Chan and Mrs Diora Chan of Chan's Kitchen to cook pork belly using a Panasonic Pressure Cooker at the Jockey Club Box. All the guests commented the pork belly tasted great but more importantly was the time and energy saved by the pressure cooker in cooking such a dish. Apart from presenting a trophy and a Panasonic CM phone to winning owner, trainer and jockey of the Panasonic Cup race, winning owners of other non-trophy races each received a trophy and a Panasonic Pressure Cooker.

During this year's event, new 4K LED iDTVs and cameras were displayed at the Member's Enclosure to let the audiences enjoy the very first touch of high resolution products. The event was highlighted by an exclusive offer and privilege for the Hong Kong Jockey Club members on buying audio visual, home appliances, health and beauty care products at very special prices.
