2016 Panasonic Cup Race Day with New Cooking Ideas
The Panasonic Cup Race Day was successfully held on 12 November 2016 at the Sha Tin Racecourse. Mr & Mrs David Mong, Chairman and CEO of Shun Hing Group, Ms Cynthia Mong, Director of Shun Hing Electronic Trading Co., Ltd., Ms Cheung Man-yee, Vice Chairman of Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund hosted about 400 guests at the Jockey Club Box.
It was the 33rd consecutive year for Shun Hing Group in sponsoring the Panasonic Cup Race Day. The Panasonic Cup was Race 8 of the day with a distance of 1,400 meters and the stake money amounting to HK$2,500,000. The Cup was won by "Racing Supernova" under the crop of Mr J Moreira. Mr Tetsuro Homma, President of Panasonic Corporation Appliances Company, Mr David Mong and Ms Cynthia Mong presented the trophies to the winning horse owner, the trainer and the jockey respectively. Apart from presenting a trophy and a Panasonic Robot Cleaner to winning owner, trainer and jockey of the Panasonic Cup race, winning owners of other non-trophy races each received a trophy and a Panasonic Ball Fan.
Shun Hing Group invited Ms Sue-Anne Leung, tutor of Shun Hing Cooking Centre to demonstrate homemade meat floss by using a Panasonic Bread Maker at the Jockey Club Box. All guests commented the meat floss was crispy and more importantly it was made of boiled pork from Chinese soup which tasted original and good. Mr Kel Fung, a renowned hair stylist was also invited to try on the latest Panasonic Mineral nanoe™ Hair Dryer. The newest technologies keep the moisture content and make the hair look glossy and healthy.
During this year's event, Panasonic Beauty products were displayed at the Member's Enclosure to let the audiences enjoy the very first touch of beauty products. The event was highlighted by an exclusive offer and privilege for the Hong Kong Jockey Club members on buying audio visual, home appliances, health and beauty care products at very special prices.
